: Warren Dunes is one of the 5 most popular camping destinations in Michigan. | June 25, 2013, 6:56 p.m.

: The hiking trails can be buggy at times. Be prepared for mosquitos.   #Warning   #Bugs   #Hiking | June 7, 2013, 9:34 a.m.

: The beach can be pebbly and rocky in places. If you have water shoes, might want to bring them!   #On-Lake   #Warning   #On-Lake-Michigan   #Beach | June 7, 2013, 9:31 a.m.

: The semi-modern (rustic) campground is located on the inland side of the dunes and is close to the dunes. The campground is not right on the water, but the beach is just a short walk.   #On-Lake   #On-Lake-Michigan   #Beach   #Campsites | June 7, 2013, 9:26 a.m.

: The rustic campground is fairly small (only 30 campsites) compared to the modern campground (almost 200 sites). Some of the campsites are relatively big and secluded. Others are small and stacked next to each other. The biggest sites are 20-24 and 16-17.   #Campsites   #Privacy | June 7, 2013, 9:25 a.m.

: Because the Warren Dunes has so many visitors going in and out, sanitation can be an issue. Sometimes there's trash or the bathrooms get messy. Pretty gross at times! I think the park tries to keep things clean, but sometimes the staff can't keep up with it.   #Warning   #Not-Clean   #Dirty   #Sanitation | June 7, 2013, 9:10 a.m.

: There's a strict no-alcohol policy at this campground. The rangers seem to be serious about enforcing it.   #Warning   #No-Alcohol | June 7, 2013, 9:08 a.m.

: There's plenty of nice hiking trails (about 6 miles worth) available at Warren Dunes State Park with nice views of the dunes, the beach, and nature in all her glory!   #Good-Hiking   #Hiking   #Sightseeing | June 7, 2013, 9:06 a.m.

: It normally takes just 1.5 or 2 hours to get to Warren Dunes from Chicago, making it a great weekend escape from the city.   #Dunes   #Warren-Dunes   #Near-Chicago | June 7, 2013, 9:06 a.m.

: Warren Dunes Semi-Modern is right by some of the most beautiful sand dunes in the US. They're gorgeous and great fun for climbing, hiking, and running down!   #Warren-Dunes   #On-Lake-Michigan   #Hiking   #Sightseeing   #Dunes   #attractions | June 7, 2013, 9:05 a.m.

: 3 miles of majestic, sandy, soft shoreline on Lake Michigan! On a clear day, the water turns a beautiful, almost-tropical, bright blue color. It's large enough that even when there's many people at the park, it doesn't feel overly cramped.   #On-Lake   #On-Lake-Michigan   #Beach   #Sandy-Beach | June 7, 2013, 9:05 a.m.

: Popular. It fills up quickly during the summer.   #Bookability   #Popular   #Reservations   #Booking   #walk-ins | June 7, 2013, 9:05 a.m.
